Good, but needs a different titleFeb 26, 2004
Robert & Laureen come across as very personable in this video. They are clearly qualified to be instructors (past champions, great dancing on the video), they work well together and they have a great sense of humor. I view their instruction in this video as top notch! As a dancer who thought buying the "Ultimate Two Step Reference Video" would give me lots of Two-Step moves to work on, I was disappointed. The basic (1), the inside turn (2), the outside turn (3), an inside turn combination (4), an outside turn combination (5), and an intermediate move combining inside & outside turn concepts called "Laces" (6); and that's your "ultimate reference". The moves they go over are great, but it's a short video (especially for being called the "ultimate reference"). After purchasing some of Scooter Lee's other excellent dance videos (like Line Dancing, where there are more than 20 Line Dances per video), I was expecting more moves. My only complaint is in the title of the video; it's misleading in my opinion. A more accurate title for this video might be something along the lines of "2 basic turns, 2 basic turn combinations & "Laces" for Two-Step" or "A Simple Two-Step Reference Video for Inside & Outside Turns".

Wish We'd Had This 5 Years Ago!!Oct 27, 2000
By Computer Guy Fantastic and thorough lessons on everything we've been wanting to learn. We have used several other video tapes and have been able to learn variations of the two-step, but never with this ease or style. Things are repeated several times with all kinds of hints and tips. They are real people talking to real people. Can't wait to open the Night Club Two-Step video. Thank God there are instructors like these two!!

Get ready to dance!Apr 07, 2001
This is the best country dance video I've ever seen. The instructors were great and easy to follow. They made learning fun and it was worth the money spent. They start off with very basic steps and they get into advanced moves toward the end of the tape. I also purchased the "West Coast Swing" video by Scooter Lee and it's also a winner. I recommend them both to couples who want to have a lot of fun on the dance floor.
This is Not Nightclub Two StepFeb 26, 2011
By John A. Hudick If you are looking for a DVD to teach you the Nightclub Two Step, this is not it. Keep looking! This DVD teaches the country version of Two Step and it is totally different.
