The Paris Opera has got to be the best ballet company in the world. There dancers are so fluid in their movement. Awesome.

The six ballets (choreographed mainly by Norbert Schmucki) and their dancers are:
1. Tchaikovsky Ballet with Fabienne Cerutti, Kader Belarbi, Isabelle Cividino, Lionel Delanoe, Danielle Doussard, Theirry Mongne, Carol Lagache and Felix Vivian
2. Delta T with Isabelle Cividino & Kader Belarbi
3. Ephemera with Claude de Vulpian
4. Paillettes with Felix Vivian & Danielle Doussard
5. The Ice Skaters with Isabelle Cividino, Felix Vivian and Danielle Doussard
6. The Black Swan (Swan Lake) with Noella Pontois and Patrick Dupond
PLUS a bonus White Swan also with Pontois and Dupond
The reason this DVD is recommended only for balletomanes is partly because Schmucki is clearly (from this showing) not a world-class choreographer so it is mainly an item of curiosity. However, the second half of the video (which is an hour long in total) is wonderful. The women are first class but the two men (Vivian, not well known, and Dupond, a star since his teens) display world-class dancing - the kind where the jumps make you gasp!
Therefore first half of this DVD deserves about two stars, the second half at least 4 stars.
