Great Movie!Oct 23, 2002
This movie is great with wonderful music and extrordinary skating from jumping to spinning. Performances by Katarina Witt, Rosalyn Sumners, and Toller Cranston make it even better. I would deffinetly suggest buying or taping it!

Amazing ArtistryMar 23, 2006
By M. Berkebile
"Movie, Music, and Book Aficionado"
This movie is one of my favorites. It came out quite a few years ago and I first saw it on TV in 1998. I personally love the music of this movie and especially love that I can watch this movie in such a small amount of time. I have always been a fan of Katarina Witt and will always be impressed with her style of skating. This film is an original, it was produced in 1997, long before Disney's Ice Princess was probably even on the drawing board, so there is no rip off of titles or themes. There is an European influence on this movie and it shows. I hope that other's look at this movie for the artistry behind it and enjoy it!

Very nice costumes & a interesting set.Dec 10, 2006
By J. Rogers This is a little bit more like a ice show that has been made into a movie. But it is interesting. The children are cute and the historical charactors and costumes are very nice. Katarina had a bit of a problem to deliver her lines. She should take a few more classes. But as an olympic gold metal winner of course her skating and dramatic flair was beyond question the best. The story of course is that the prince falls in love with a 'common' women and wants to get married. He of course has to give up his throne to marry her, but by the end they have found a way he can keep her and the throne.
Katarina is a beautiful women and well accepted in Europe. I am surprised that they are not offering her more jobs here in America. I know I would like to see more of her in various specials and other programing.

Could've been betterAug 27, 2005
By Precious Angel I was interested in seeing this movie, so I rented it from Netflix. Anyway, I really didn't care for it. Certain parts were alright, but I could've done without some too. If you want to see a good skating movie, rent Cutting Edge.
