Great gentle workoutNov 15, 2008
By W. Davis I really enjoy this workout video. I have limited mobility so it's wonderful to have a workout that I can do. I can't stand for long periods of time, nor do I have full range of motion in my legs. This dvd actually is my favorite that I've found. It's enough that I sweat a bit, yet not enough that I'm left bedridden for the next few days.
This isn't a video for people capable (through age, mobility or exercise ability) of more strenuous exercise. This is a workout designed for people who are trying to stay mobile, flexible and self-sufficient.
The music is a bit hokey and it's a little humbling for someone my age to exercise with the elderly, but the workout is perfect for me. The instructor isn't a perky hyped up gym bunny either. She's actually quite soothing, which is nice so there's no feeling of failure when I can't quite get a move down.
There are segments that are fully seated, and some that are standing with the aid of a chair. If an exercise is done in a standing pose an alternate pose is offered for those who are unable to stand. All of the body is used and there are some great stretches that even I can do. There are rotation, strength and flexibility parts of the workout.
If you need a workout that a person who has trouble with balance or physical ability (including people who haven't exercised in quite some time) then this is a great gentle do-able workout.

DisappointedMar 25, 2008
By Cynthia L. Seal To be honest, I was pretty disappointed with this video. There was hardly any emphasis on the exercise strap exercises. The music was really hokey and the exercises were, too. Exclusively for very old people, in my opinion. Thankfully, it did come with a chart on how to do the strap exercises so I don't have to watch the video to use them. If you're not old, I don't recommend this video, try another one.
