Great for big fans, but not enough of Beny himselfJul 10, 2006

This does a great job of telling the story and presenting some performances from the 50's. But perhaps the highest quality performance is from a Mexican movie - and the song is cut off. For some ungodly reason, the directors decided to break into the song with narration. I wanted to see as much footage of Beny himself - which I'm sure exists. This disappoints in that respect, but there is enough great parts to make this well worth it!!

Classic BennyNov 05, 2006
By Mark M. Alvarado This DVD helped me understand the impact that Benny More had on the people of Cuba during his career. I saw that he was a legend of great stature and was a native son who was loved by the poor and humble people who danced to his music.
As an artist, Benny More was an originator and is responsible for many hit records. This DVD outlines his career and gives you a strong idea of what his music did for popular Cuban music. The interviews with fellow musicians and family members gives life to the CD. If your a fan of Cuban music and the impact it has had on American culture, you'll see that Benny More was a pioneer in the field and probably the best vocalist to rise out of Latin America.

Poor qualityNov 06, 2006

It was a boring presentation of a great talented Cuban singer. No comentary, no color, all in b&w, with lots of old good songs. No concert however and no reaction from the audience, I gave the tape away in Cuba, to an old fan of Benny More.
