If this DVD can teach me to dance, it can teach anyone!Oct 13, 2007

You know that guy in "Best in Show" with two left feet? Well, basically, that's me. So when I needed to learn to dance, I needed to start right at the beginning. I also needed to keep things simple -- I didn't want to learn some elaborate routine that I'd just forget as soon as I realized that all eyes were on me.
First Dance Fabulous worked perfectly. Mary Pinizzotto breaks each lesson down into nice, small bites that are easy to learn, and I was really surprised how quickly my fiance(now she's my wife) and I were actually dancing. It's like, with her system, you learn to dance almost without realizing it -- it's almost as natural as walking, but you look better doing it :-)
I shopped around, and saw quite a few other dance lesson DVDs (some more $$, some less) that all seemed to want to teach me "steps," something I'm sure takes in-person lessons. I wanted something that I was sure would work with just us, at home, and I'm glad I picked this one. We just got married and several of my friends (all guys) were quite surprised that I could "really dance."
Probably the best part, though, was that my wife (man, it still seems strange to type that word) loved doing it with me. Now, she wants us to keep learning. Hmm, how do I tell her, not until football season is over...
