 Unimpressed with this one...May 11, 2011

I was expecting so much more from this DVD. It is very short, only 45 minutes. A lot of the photography looks dated, fuzzy and dark.
I was expecting all "Nature" scenes as the title suggests, but there is a sequence showing a close up of a large hairy spider and reptiles that upset the nursing home residents I bought it for. When I play it again I need to manually skip that part so as not to create unnecessary anxiety.
I was also hoping for a continous loop play option that so many other ambient DVDs offer for a background sensory experience, but that is not available. I was disappointed.
Another thing that annoyed me was how before each new nature sequence the music stopped and showed a full screen title card of just the music that was going to play. Really...for an ambient DVD I'm looking for continous music and scenery...save the music details for the end credits. I found that broke the harmony and mood of what was being shown and signaled the DVD was over before it was.
A positive I will mention is that I liked the music selections they did choose.

The nature scenes in this video are beautifully paired with wonderful classical music. Just sit back and watch something that is an antidote for today's frenzied world. This would also be wonderful addition to a library in a nursing or dementia facility.
